Hello. Nice to be here again. I had disappeared, because first, I was too sad to be reflecting (and writing here - whether it is posts or comments - always makes me reflect), and then, I had gone to Thailand to spend time with my husband, who came there from China (which was great and details will follow!), and then I was back home, but so were all the others, and it was way too chaotic.

But now. Everyone has gone. I'm all alone in our house, for the first time ever. You see, before, even when all other humans left, our two cats were here with me. Both of them died earlier this year. And the kitten - in case you remember that we brought home a kitten a few months ago - had to go, because it kept making our daughter sick (some sort of fungus), and she's got fibromyalgia, so she really shouldn't be exposed to things that make her sicker.

So... I'm all alone. Which is good, because I need to write the phd, and people only distract me. On the other hand, you know, it's the best time to be blocked. So, it doesn't really go well yet. I know I need to start something and then it will go better and better, but I'm mostly procrastinating at the moment. Should you have tips on how to get out of it, I'm all EARS.

In the meantime, here are some positive things.

I just saw this and thought, many of you might like it:
search the web, plant a tree!

I've discovered that if you have no other way to come at berries, you can buy frozen ones and put them into your glass of water: the waters gets cooler, the berries get soft and actually taste like real life berries. I can't wait to go and buy me some more! (right now, I've only got blueberries)

Our daughter landed at Vaclav Havel airport in Prague yesterday. I wish it was me, but her visiting Prague (which I love and consider one of my cities) is better than none of us. Yesterday, she wrote that she's "already learned to say "dobri den" and thank you, but already forgotten the latter". So, I wrote "děkuji" and nearly died of envy. Still. I didn't die :D That's a positive thing, too :D

So, how have you been? What did I miss? Feel free to send me links to your posts, I promise, I'll only read them after trying my very best to do some WORK.

Welcome back! I don't think there's anything especially interesting on my blog - theatre visits, Brownies, all the usual activities :)

Fibro sucks, my ex-girlfriend has it so I have personal experience. Any change in the weather wipes her out, but that might also be partly due to previous car accident(s) screwing up her neck.

Surprisingly, I am in occasional contact with her.  I know every fibro case is quite unique.  For her, she finds acupuncture is useful. I'll pass the info on.

Hello!

I'm sorry you had to give up the kitten but it's for very understandable reasons.

*waves* It's good to see you back here! :) I'm sorry to hear you had to give the kitten away, but it's understandable why you had to do it.

Not much is new with me, other than it's the dreaded Job Application Season. :P I'm also trying to write and research and do course preparation for Autumn term. In other words: things are very boring. :P

I did the first half of a degree and when I was procrastinating I forced myself to just do 20 mins study. Sometimes I could then do more, but if not at least I had done something!

Nice to see you back by the way!

It's nice to see you back again. So sorry about the kitten, though! I've never heard of a cat making anyone sick, apart from allergies or toxoplasmosis. Though my husband is somewhat allergic to cats, so short-haired cats are okay and long-haired cats are just misery...

Wishing you luck with the writing!
